A Boston Foundation 2016 report on Arts funding revealed that Boston receives the lowest level of government funding for the arts per capita when compared with 10 other cities nationally. This forum provides an opportunity to hear directly from national arts leaders, hailing from the report's comparison cities, as they share stories and lessons learned from recent advocacy efforts that have allowed their communities to secure and maintain robust public funding and support for the arts, and what the increase in support has meant for their communities.
