Learn more about how we work with professional advisors

In addition to our unique network of peers and experts, the Boston Foundation offers you and your clients additional professional and philanthropic benefits and resources including:

  • One-to-one relationships with dedicated Donor Services staff, who partner with you on customizing plans for your donors’ needs and goals;
  • Workshops for you or your donors on philanthropic strategy, finding a focus, creating a legacy and more; advisor study groups (e.g., for CAP certification);
  • Special events, educational seminars and research presentations providing information and insight into issues affecting Greater Boston and around the world;
  • Access to deep knowledge and expertise in our strategic focus areas, and local contacts;
  • Ability for donors to give anonymously through a Boston Foundation fund;
  • Ability to handle your clients’ unusual or complex assets as charitable gifts;
  • Individually Managed Accounts that allow you to manage the investments of your client’s Donor Advised Fund at the Boston Foundation; and
  • Access to fee-based philanthropic consulting and program management services through The Philanthropic Initiative.

Our work is guided by the Professional Advisors Committee and enhanced by a Professional Advisors Network; we are also the Boston host of the Planned Giving Design Center, which offers professional advisors detailed information about working with clients on philanthropy.
