We are happy to identify outstanding nonprofit organizations and programs that are doing just the kind of work you would like to support, take you on site visits, and help you evaluate the effectiveness of your giving.

We also give our donors the opportunity to “co-invest” in effective and timely programs that have been evaluated by our staff—and we invite all donors to special briefings on topics of current interest with leaders in the field, in addition to our Understanding Boston series of public forums that explore important issues facing Greater Boston and the region.

If you are interested in giving to nonprofits in other parts of the country, the Boston Foundation is connected to networks of hundreds of community foundations and philanthropic organizations across the country that serve as a valuable resource. Through our Center for Global Philanthropy, you can make grants outside of the United States without having to worry about due diligence.
