Phill Gross

Phill Gross has followed the healthcare therapeutics industry for over 40 years and is a Co-Founder of Adage Capital Management, L.P. serving as Managing Director and Healthcare Portfolio Manager at the firm since its founding in 2001. Prior to founding Adage, he was a Healthcare and Retail Analyst, Equity Research Director, and Partner at the Harvard Management Co., Inc. during his 18 years there.

Phill received his B.S. in finance and economics from the University of Wisconsin in 1982 and his M.S. in investments in 1983. He is a former member of the UW Foundation Board of Directors and is currently a member of the Steve Hawk Center for Applied Securities Analysis Advisory Board and the Nicolas Center for Applied Corporate Finance Advisory Board at Wisconsin. Phill received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the UW Business School in 2006 and from the UW Alumni Association in 2019.

Phill is a Governing Trustee of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and serves on their Executive Committee.  

In addition to his role at TBF, Phill also serves on the Harvard Medical School Board of Fellows and is a Trustee at nonprofitsShare Winter Foundation, Youth Enrichment Services, Winter4Kids, the US Ski and Snowboard Foundation Board and the World Cup Dreams Foundation.
