The Opportunity Forums: Developing the Educational and Skills Pathways to Economic Security
Developing the Educational and Skills Pathways to Economic Security is the second in a series of Understanding Boston forums focusing on Boston's growing inequality gap and charting our city's course to greater income equity and opportunity. The series began with a presentation on intergenerational mobility in Greater Boston by Raj Chetty at the Foundation's Shape of the City event in January, followed by a spring forum featuring Professor Robert D. Putnam discussing his new book, Our Kids: The American Dream in Crisis, a groundbreaking examination of the growing inequality gap. The September 23 Opportunity Forum focused on The Crucial Early Childhood Years, and the final forum on November 19 will focus on income inequality and ways to make Boston America's upwardly mobile city.
