Grants Processor

Supervises: None
Hybrid Schedule (subject to change): In office 2 days a week, Tuesday and Thursday. Remote Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This schedule may change based on department needs and meetings.
Position Budgeted: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00
Position Summary:
The Grants Processor supports the daily processing of donor-advised fund grants. This position is responsible for a range of grant processing tasks, including reviewing grant recommendations, managing the grants inbox, following up with grantees, and helping track grant issues through Salesforce. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to complete repetitive processing work accurately and consistently. Grant volume can vary seasonally, and includes high volume periods.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for processing of donor-advised grant recommendations, including daily review of donor-submitted requests, manual entry of grant requests, and accurate completion of recurring processing tasks;
- Manage the grants inbox daily to ensure all incoming emails are reviewed, responded to, and followed up on as needed;
- Communicate with organizations by phone as needed, including making follow-up calls and answering incoming calls in a professional manner;
- Track grant issues, create Salesforce cases when needed, communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and provide updates during weekly meetings to support timely resolution;
- Set up and update organization records for new and existing grantees, including Automated Clearing House (ACH) enrollment and banking information updates as needed;
- Follow up on outstanding grant checks and assist with the grant check printing process;
- Participate in department group projects, including the review and preparation of quarterly fund statements to ensure accuracy and timely distribution;
- Provide backup support for gift processing as needed; and
- Update procedures annually or as needed.

Qualifications
Preparation, Knowledge, Previous Experience:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent related experience required;
- 1-2 years relevant work experience preferred; and
- Customer service, data entry, or administrative support experience preferred.
Skills, Abilities, Competencies:
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and consistently maintains accuracy in data entry and processing tasks;
- Salesforce or other Customer Relations Management (CRM) platform experience preferred;
- Ability to manage daily tasks, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities when needed;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to track follow-up items;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Clear and professional communication by email and phone;
- Proficient computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel; and
- Ability to work well with a diverse range of people.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
- Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and
- Ability to work onsite and remotely, as required.
