The philanthropic conversation is more common than ever between professional advisors and high net worth clients, but are advisors and clients speaking the same language when it comes to their goals and motivations for philanthropy?
That's one of the questions receiving close scrutiny in this new report from The Philanthropic Initiative, co-sponsored by DAFgiving360 and Foundation Source, with support from the Boston Foundation. The nationwide survey of 300 advisors and more than 100 high net worth individuals revisits and expands upon themes fromstudies conducted in 2013 and 2018, and earlier iterations conducted in 1999 and 2004.
The report gets deeply into the contexts and content of the philanthropic conversation, and finds that philanthropic issues are playing a much larger role in advisor-cleint relationships, with advisrs deppening their knowledge of philanthropy and strructured giving vehicles.
