Launched in 2017 as a pilot program, Live Arts Boston (LAB) was created to address the lack of resources for Greater Boston’s performing artists to create, present and produce new work. This forum coincides with the release of the Boston Foundation’s report Live Arts Boston: Creativity, Entrepreneurship & Equity in the Performing Arts, which looks at the impact of LAB over its first three years, and will feature a presentation by authors Barbara Schaffer Bacon and Pam Korza of Animating Democracy (a program of Americans for the Arts).
A panel discussion with LAB grantees Ana Masacote, Billy Dean Thomas and Karen Young, and a performance by LAB grantee Naseem Alatrash will follow the presentation. Please join us for this important conversation!
