The New Commonwealth Racial Equity and Social Justice Fund was founded by a coalition of Massachusetts Black and Brown executives for the sole purpose of leveraging our individual and collective power to work together with community organizations to make transformative societal changes by addressing systemic racism and racial inequity in Massachusetts.

New Commonwealth Fund Lunch and Learn Series

The New Commonwealth Fund believes that solutions to racial inequities present in key areas of society – healthcare; policing and criminal justice; economic empowerment; youth education empowerment and civic engagement – are found in the community. The people who live with and experience the problems firsthand are in the best position to teach us how to fix them. In early 2021, the New Commonwealth Fund and Boston Foundation co-hosted a series of discussions on issues and equity in justice as they have played out in numerous issues.
