Support for Chelsea

A matching gift campaign by the Latino Legacy Fund

Chelsea Collaborative food distribution
Workers from Chelsea Collaborative pause for a moment of prayer at one of the organization's pop-up food pantries for city residents.
Chelsea has become the epicenter of the COVID-19 crisis in Massachusetts with an infection rate six times the statewide average. A cultural anchor for the Latino community and a predominantly working-class city, Chelsea is home to thousands of immigrants struggling to survive during this unprecedented pandemic.

Recognizing the urgent need to help Chelsea, the Latino Legacy Fund at the Boston Foundation has provided an immediate $50,000 grant to the Chelsea Collaborative, a nonprofit that has turned its operations into an emergency response system, providing all of Chelsea's residents with emergency cash grants, food and other basic necessities.

The Latino Legacy Fund is now asking you to join in its efforts to support the City of Chelsea. For every dollar you donate to the Latino Legacy Fund in support of Chelsea, the Fund will match it, up to $50,000. Simply fill out the form below and write "for Chelsea" in the comment field.

Together, we can stand in solidarity with the people of Chelsea.
