Milken Institute,  The Greater Philadelphia Life Sciences Cluster: an Economic and Comparative Assessment (6/05): compares eleven leading life science clusters and their potential for regional economic impact - Boston ranks first in the nation on the Life Sciences Composite Index.

Milken Institute,  America's Biotech and Life Science Clusters: San Diego's Position and Economic Contributions (6/04): compares the 12 leading metropolitan areas, placing the Boston region 1st in life science employment base at 42,855.

American Electronics Association, Cyberstates 2005 (4/05): state technology rankings in areas such as venture capital investment, technology exports, high tech employment, and investment in future innovation and research and development. Highlights, Massachusetts fact sheet or order a copy from the AeA website.
