MassINC releases “Mass.commuting”

MassINC's study of commuting in Massachusetts shows that morning and evening commutes are rapidly worsening compared to the rest of the nation, a situation that erodes quality of life and economic health. Massachusetts commute rates have increased at the 6th fastest rate over the last 20 years, with nearly one in five workers - 551,000 people - commuting at least an hour and a half roundtrip.

For the full "MASS.commuting" report, including individual data for every Massachusetts city and town, visit the MassINC web site (registration required). October, 2004
