Report by U.S. Conference of Mayors on Homeland Security Funding

The U.S. Conference of Mayors reports that 76% of cities surveyed had yet to receive federal funds aimed at police, fire, paramedics and other first responders. The report, Second Mayors Report to the Nation: Tracking Homeland Security Funds Sent to the 50 State Governments, is based on a survey of 215 cities and analyzes the flow of national homeland security funds from states to local governments to strengthen cities’ preparedness capacity.
