The Boston Foundation is a resource for nonprofit organizations throughout the Greater Boston area and the Commonwealth. Along with the various grant opportunities, the Foundation also provides the following resources:
The Boston Indicators Project
The Boston Indicators Project, coordinated by the Boston Foundation in partnership with the City of Boston and the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, offers new ways to understand Boston and its neighborhoods in a regional context. It aims to democratize access to information, foster informed public discourse, track progress on shared civic goals, and report on change in 10 sectors: Civic Vitality, Cultural Life and the Arts, the Economy, Education, the Environment, Health, Housing, Public Safety, Technology, and Transportation. The Boston Indicators Project website provides valuable reports on the various sectors, indicators with data available for download, and new research from area and national sources posted regularly.
Understanding Boston
The Understanding Boston series of forums, educational events, and research sponsored by the Boston Foundation provides information and insight into issues effecting Boston, its neighborhoods, and the region. Join our evite list by sending an email to rsvp@tbf.org and ask to be added to the list.
Workshops
The Boston Foundation hosts educational workshops and convenings that provide support and facilitate an open discussion about key issues affecting the sector. The Foundation offers workshops to nonprofit leaders in the Greater Boston area to help grapple with the various issues that affect their work. There are no workshops scheduled at this time but check back regularly for new listings.
